AGAIN, SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT BY RUSSELL PEARCE

AGAIN, SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT BY RUSSELL PEARCE; FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE ARIZONA STATE SENATE, CHIEF DEPUTY OF THE MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, JUDGE, AND PRESIDENT OF BAN AMNESTY NOW AND AUTHOR OF THE MOST IMPACTING LEGISLATION ON CRIME, CORRUPTION, NATIONAL SECURITY AND STATE’S RIGHTS IN THE NATION

President-Elect Donald Trump has the potential of being one of the greatest Presidents of my life time; by appointing Judges who will honor the Constitution and under their role, and in restoring the Rule of Law, protecting honest businesses, protecting American jobs, job creation, border security and interior enforcement of our immigration laws and MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

Make no mistake, President-Elect Donald Trump was elected due to his promise to enforce our immigration laws and secure our border. I hope Speaker Ryan and the Gang of Eight get the message.

Judge Napolitano makes it clear that local authorities cannot be forced by the feds to enforce immigration laws, OR CAN THEY? Maybe not directly, but they can be denied funds and other sanctions for refusing. Under 8 USC 1644 and 1373 it is illegal for local authorities to prohibit enforcement.

Fortunately however, it is illegal here in Arizona not to enforce immigration law. Here in Arizona it is state law (SB1070) that requires enforcement and forbids sanctuary cities policies. And SB1070 allows citizens to sue local authorities if they have any such policy. And welcomed recent legislation that will take away their state shared revenues for failure to adhere to the law.

Let’s make it very clear NOTHING has actually changed as of yet on our U.S. immigration policy, on enforcement, or making E-Verify mandatory such as we did in Arizona under HB2779 in 2007 and was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. We have not ended the UnConstitutional Birth Right Citizenship, or dysfunctional and dangerous refugee/asylum programs, or the family chain migration insanity, or the outrageous visa lottery abused program.

I certainly have high hopes policies will change, enforcement will start again, and border security will be aggressive and law breaking employers will start following the law or be jailed or have their license revoked. And those in our country illegally will be returned to their country of origin and if return, they will go to jail.

The last 16 years under Bush and Obama Amnesty push, things have changed. Paul Ryan who worked hard behind closed doors door Amnesty and outsourcing our jobs has come to an end … I hope.

I have great hope with President-Elect Trump’s appointments of Americans who understand the risk to Americans and America with those who promote law breaking. For example; Senator Sessions a strong patriot and Rule of Law guy, Gen. John Kelly the new boss at Home Land Security I believe understands the danger.

Now, maybe we can get to the business of not only Making America Great Again, but protecting our citizens, our jobs, our costly educational costs, our healthcare costs, and Protecting This Constitutional Republic and the Rule of Law.

As the author and Architect of:
• Prop. 200 in 2004 to require “proof” of citizenship in order to register to vote and NO free stuff for those in the state illegally
• Prop. 100 in 2006 that denied bail to illegal aliens who are arrested on serious crimes
• Prop. 103 in 2006 making English the Official Language of Arizona
• Prop. 300 in 2006 that makes it illegal to give In-State tuition to illegal aliens for higher ED
• HB2779 in 2007 that made E-Verify mandatory and the risk of losing one’s business license for knowingly hiring illegal aliens
• SB1070 that made Sanctuary Cities “illegal” in Arizona and had compelling language in sec. 2B that law enforcement must enforce the law (introduced originally in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and finally in 2010)

Again a reminder of what happened when these laws were passed. Over 100,000 illegal aliens “self-deported.”
• Property crime dropped 46%
• Auto theft dropped 47%
• Homicides dropped 50%

Phoenix Law Enforcement Association in November of 2011 in a Press Release; said as a result of SB1070 Phoenix had an unprecedented drop in crime, pushing Phoenix to a 30 year low crime rate.

I believe President-Elect Trump will look to Arizona as a model. President-Elect Trump won this election on the immigration enforcement issue as Americans have demanded enforcement of our laws and a secure border.
