Dear Friends:
Promises Made, Promises Kept: We have much to be proud of. Those that love Freedom and Respect the Rule of Law stand with us.
I was able to thank so many of you who came out last night to wait for the election results with me, but I know that many more of you were unable to join us, so I wanted to thank you personally for your hard work and dedication to the cause of liberty.
The results of last night were not as we had hoped they would be, but as many attendees noted, the results themselves were largely the result of a unique set of circumstances that came together at the same moment to create a result that is not likely to be recreated again in our lifetime. “The Perfect Storm” as one person put it, with the most radical liberal groups in America being joined by Republicans from our own local communities to join against their common enemy. And why? Because we insist on the rule of law, we want to limit the size and power of the government, and we treasure our God-given rights and freedoms and we are willing to defend them. That is a threat to their agenda and it mirrors the struggles going on all over this great country.
As another supporter said, “That’s why you don’t let Democrats vote in Republican primaries!”
Putting the politics aside, LuAnne and I would like to say thank you for your prayers, your support, your kind words, and your contributions of time and treasure to the effort. We think of you as our own family and we want you to know that we are as devoted to you as you have been to us. This was a single step in a long journey and it is not the last step by any measure. But we are always humbled and never take for granted what a blessing it is to have so many of you along with us on this journey.
The holidays are approaching, and we will all be blessed with the opportunities to spend time with friends and family. Let us all use this special time to rest, recharge, and–oh, why not–reload!
Before you know it, it will be 2012 and time to save our state and country all over again. For my part I am looking forward to it. It is the most important battle of our lifetimes and looking back, we’ve always done very well in elections that occurred in even-numbered years!
Just today I was contacted by Kris Kobach the Kansas State, Secretary of State to Speak along side of him in D.C. on states rights and Arizona’s success, I was also contacted today by Tennessee Legislators to be their Key Note speaker at their Lincoln Day dinner this spring on Freedom and Arizona’s success. I will continue to do all I can. I am so blessed to have served this Mesa , this great state and this nation.
With my eternal gratitude, your friend and loyal servant,
Russell
