Response to Republics Montini “IT SHOULD BE TRUMP/PEARCE IN 2016”

Mr. Montini I appreciate the compliment and honored to be in the mix with Sheriff Joe and Presidential candidate Trump. Yes I have been engaged in these issues for over two decades. It does appear he is following my lead on these critical issues on immigration enforcement. My first choice is Senator Ted Cruz, however, I would accept the invite to be President Trump’s Vice President. I can guarantee the border would get secured and those in the county “illegally” would need to pack their bags. And no more births based on one’s GPS location, but born to U.S. Citizens. Many of those required to leave could apply for re-entry and come in “legally” and I am sure many would meet the requirement needed to be a law abiding and loyal American. And the Constitution would be followed.

You are right I did take on this battle over two decades ago and if he is following my lead, I am proud of that. Ted Cruz also supports everything I and the state of Arizona has done. I did write and sponsor SB1070 to eliminate Sanctuary Cities and enforce the law a bad bill according to you, but supported by 73% of Americans. Oh heck why worry about a few Americans murdered daily by the Catch and Release program by the Obama administration?

SB1070 was supported by every single major law enforcement group in Arizona and 9 out the 13 Sheriffs? PLEA Arizona’s largest law enforcement association: “Since SB1070, Phoenix has experienced a 30-year low crime rate … SB1070 did it. When hard-working rank-and-file Police Officers were given access … to SB1070, the deterrence factor this legislation brought was clearly instrumental in our unprecedented drop in crime. All of this without a single civil rights, racial profiling, or biased policing complaint.”

Did you know it was voted on by every single Republican in the legislature and signed by the Governor? Did you know that the Governor’s poll numbers jumped 24% in the week following her signing the bill and went from a dead heat to a commanding lead in the Primary and a 10 point deficit from her Democrat opponent to a commanding lead, almost overnight?

I guess Mr. Trump being in double digit lead over other GOP contenders for President ought to say something. All these deaths and maimings of citizens by illegal aliens is just collateral damage to you and other open border folks. Some of us believe in national security and the rule of law and keeping the Oath of Office one takes. I know that is unusual in today’s world. We believe all lives matter.

I need to correct you on your quotes of me. I believe strongly in deportation of those in this country illegally and harsh penalties for those who return illegally after being deported. However, I never said round them all up as the liberal try and make out. I did say enforce the law and they will self deport, and that point was well made after SB1070 passed, thousands of illegals packed their bags and left. Crime dropped, unemployment numbers went down, almost overnight.

Donald Trump leads in the polls for a very good reason, he is taking up the banner of the rule of law, while other politicians are good at drive-by political statements. No more “build the darn fence” to get elected and then joining the Amnesty Gang in the Senate.

One other candidate is consistently speaking out for secure borders and interior enforcement; Ted Cruz. However, the media has virtually ignored him on this issue until Donald Trump came along. Thank you Donald Trump.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower recognize the risk to America by this invasion. Yes, President Eisenhower did have a program called “Operation Wetback” and in fact of the 1.3 million that left, 80% self-deported.

You did quote me correctly on “they’re tired of the games … It’s about time somebody started stepping forward and recognizing the damage to America. The rule of law has to count for something.”

Illegal is a crime, not a race. It applies to everyone equally, I made sure of that in the language of SB1070.

You’re right Mr. Montini, I am an extremist when it comes to this Republic, freedom and a secure America. I remember another extremist. Barry Goldwater, “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice; moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.”

Russell Pearce, former President of the Arizona Senate, Chief Deputy of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Judge and author of Prop. 200, 100, 102, 103, 300, Legal Workers Act, SB1070 and others.
